iBTPS App
Thursday, 06 June 2013 00:00

Example of pressure reading when inflating the tire. The RF signal strength (max. distance for signal transmission/reception is about 30ft/10m)

as well as the device ID (each BTPS has its unique identifier number in order not to mix up with your bike-buddies) is shown on the screen.

If there is need, BTPS can also display the actual tire temperature.

The image above shows the actual iBTPS App for iPhone 4s. Front and rear-tire reading; Selectable PSI or bar; resolution of 0.01 PSI.

Pressure Warning
Wednesday, 22 May 2013 00:00

BTPS gives real-time pressure data. You will get an instant warning if your tire pressure  goes below a user defined limit. This heavily increases your safety.

Make sure your bike computer or your smart-device supports BTPS.

Snapshop of our Kickstarter-movie.

The image above shows an DIY-hack of a commercially available bike-computer we did in our lab. it shows how it could be; this feature is not available on the market, yet.

A message I got from Mathew, Melbourne:

Thanks for the response Chris,

Unfortunately I don’t have any photo’s my bike crash was about 18 months ago, on the hills in Adelaide, it was a shock to turn at the first corner of a decent and find the front wheel would not grip the road.  I did about Aus$600 damage (clothing, saddle and helmet) and the bike is permanently scared.  All because of a leaky valve.  I realise you cannot stop at the top of every hill for the thumb test particularly in a group ride so your idea is worth every cent.

I am about to buy another bike computer (too many bikes for one computer now). Assuming your technology will see the light of day its’ bike computer compatibility is a key consideration.

Please keep me informed

Thanks

Mathew, Melbourne
